Part-time customer services and social media assistant required (temp)

Social Bods look after social media accounts and online chat for a range of clients from across the UK. The clients are in sectors such as recruitment, legal services, beauty and spa, outdoors equipment, and personal finance. We are getting busier every week.

We are looking for someone to come into the office and work around 12 hours per week (3 x 4 hours)

This will be 1pm to 5pm Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays or Monday, Tuesday, Thursday.

Job role:

Computer-based – at least basic IT skills are required

Respond within 30 seconds to online chat service. Copy and paste answers are available but you will also have to be able to answer questions which are not on the FAQ script – common sense is a blessing here!

Check social media management packages for incoming engagement – such as on Facebook messenger, Twitter, and comments on Instagram. Respond as appropriate. Full training on each client will be given.

Other social media tasks as required – scheduling content on the social media management package, creating basic graphics using online tools, writing tweets for clients, general social media account management.

Some information

This is a temporary position which is primarily to support one client on online chat. If the client no longer requires this service, then the position will be gone.

This will require some lone working and locking up of the office. We are in a manned business centre so you won’t be entirely alone, but you will be in the Social Bods office alone for some or all of your shifts on any given week. Some people love the quiet solitude, others hate it. But we can’t avoid it.

Some of the work is very, very dull. You may think that social media management is this exciting new world of work. It can be, but some of the things we write about are not the most exciting things in the world, and it can get a bit repetitive. You just need to be aware of this.

Bonus points if you can write blog content, and have an understanding of the principles of SEO. If you don’t know what this even means, then you don’t. But if you have a decent standard of literacy, then we can teach you this.

Two of the team work around the children, which is why we need someone specifically to cover the 1pm to 5pm shift (when we are doing the school runs). If you can do extra during school holidays, that would be awesome.

How to apply:

Please send us an email to socialbods@gmail.com with whatever you think will be necessary for us to consider you for the role. Be as creative (or as straightforward) as you like.

Start Date – WC 24th April would be marvellous. The week after is essential.
